5-11-07 (Me to Babe)

Babe, Its great news that Johnny is going to Vegas, and more importantly that he is going to see his grandmother. You wee correct about the Excalibur. We were not too impressed with it, but they should be able to enjoy the time they have there and also enjoy the other hotels. Maybe Alicia will like Vegas and want to move there with John. I wonder if they might take the opportunity to go to one of the Chapels and get married while hey are there? I’m only kidding. Really! As for Mike, I guess he is still into hockey as he used to be. Does he still skate at the rinks we used to take him to, as often as he used to? Does he still enjoy Taco Bell as often as he used to? You know, I truly miss going to Taco Bell, coming back to the house and having dinner, the three of us watching TV. These are memories which will never go away.

I’m sorry to hear about Al. I know you liked him a lot in addition to the great job he did for you with your taxes.

Luis is back in the hospital again. He had a growth form on his left testicle and he never told anyone about it, but it just kept getting worse, bigger, and bigger. A few days ago it started causing him pain and he finally told his mother Monday afternoon, she called his primary doctor, who saw him within hours, and the doctor sent him straight to the hospital. Monday evening, after being admitted, it burst. I believe he will be alright in a few days of taking heavy duty antibiotics.

As for me, I’m still working on my mother’s house. I have all the furniture out, except for the dinning room set, which I can’t seem to unload on anyone. My next step is going to be to paint all the walls in the house, inside and out, and fix a few other things so I can get more value for it when it sells. Everything in the house is over 45 years old, and she never fixed anything. The house needs a new roof, water heater, washer, dryer, remove the five air conditioning units built into the walls throughout the house, and patch that up, and it even needs a new floor. The real estate market is just as bad in Florida as it is in NY, and the prices have steadily come down over the past year, so, maybe it will turn around in the next few months and with a little sprucing up, it may bring a few more bucks for it.

I wish to thank you for remembering about the Old Navy T-shirts, I use the…well, since they do in fact shrink so much, I could use a XXL. But only because it does shrink. My address is 2721 SW 96 Ave. Miami, Fl 33165, but I have a suggestion. Instead of you having to buy it and the expense of mail it, why don’t you tell me what color you would buy for me, and I will go pick one up as if you sent it. The idea is yours. And I will send you a XS for you.

Babe, on a much sour note, I must bring up the subject of health insurance. I suspect that if you are still working for Pat and the Doctor, you don’t have health coverage elsewhere. I don’t really know what your needs are medically, and I certainly do not want to leave you without insurance when you most need it. However, after almost two years of paying over $800 per month, I have to obtain coverage for myself here at an additional cost. And I cannot be paying for two policies for myself, in NY (not using it) and in Florida. Please understand it is strictly a financial situation and not that I do not care about you. I understood you were looking for a full time job that would give you the coverage, and I know it’s tough to get. Perhaps, Babe, if you could find out if there is a health program that you could switch to that would cover just you, and not us, through the company, perhaps that cost would be a lot less than what we are paying now for both of us, and I can take care of that for you. I too will try to find some information which I can pass onto you.

One last thing Babe. Try not to take anything I say as being mean, or nasty, or angry, or negative, or derogatory. I seem to have that problem in getting my thoughts and my feelings into words. I have always loved you. Always cared about you. Always wanted the best for you. So please when you see something from me that seems to be negative, nasty, or angry, try to turn it around and look at it a bit positively, because that is how I mean it. You are the most positive person I have ever met, please, think positively when I write you.

5/6/07 (Babe to Me)

Hi,
How are you? Thanks for the email you sent explainin/apologizing. I really appreciated it. I knew your didn't really mean to be mean, but I'm glad you cleared it up for me.

Nothing really new here...Johnny is going out to Vegas with Alicia to see my mother next week. They're staying in the Excalibur. I know we went there for the buffet one time, but I don't think we were too impressed with it, but they're all excited to be going out there.

Do you remember Al, the man who did my taxes?..He passed away on Friday. When he was here he told me he had been ill with cancer, but was recovering. He said he wasn't sure if he would be able to do taxes next year due to his health. He didn't really look well, so I think he knew he wasn't going to have much time.

I went to a communion party today for Veronica (Pat & Diane's daughter) from Smokey Chimney. It was at the place called Singleton's on the corner of Hempstead Tpke. & Hicksville Road. It was really nice. She looked like a little angel.

Michael isn't happy because the Rangers are out of the hockey playoffs. They lost the game today and were eliminated.

How's Luis & Julie? Send my regards.

How about you? Anything new? Hopefully you're OK. I want to send you the annual 2007 Old Navy 4th of July t-shirt. Can you email me your address? It's that itme of year again, and when I saw them in Old Navy the other day, I immediately thought about you. Should I make it L, XL.....or XXL!!!!!!!! they shrink ya know.

Anyway, have a happy week.....talk to you soon.

Me
